If walking or cycling past The Crest condo, make sure to check out its latest attraction, a laser light show. This free show is taking place 4 nights a week from Thursday to Sunday for 5 minutes starting 8 pm to 9 pm. The laser light show began on 1 July and will go on until end month.

Guests who would like to view the spectacle can use the marquee built along Alexandra road by a Wing Tai- led consortium, which is the developer.

According to the developer, the laser concept came about two months ago in a bid to attract buyers. The show, which cost about $20,000 to $30,000, was collaboration between the developer and Showtec group.

The Crest laser show

The laser beams maps out the unique architecture of the project that resembles a blooming tree, which is the design of Toyo Ito a Japanese architect.

To take place, the laser show required approval from the relevant government agencies. It was advertised using pamphlets sent out to the developer’s client base as well as nearby residents.

For more sensitization, the marquee will be used for several talks such as the one on cycling benefits as well as hold private events.

The laser show combines with Wing Tai’s 1 bedroom campaign where buyers can convert it to a two bedder using interior design valued at $80,000 but provided freely.

Buyers are also getting a 15% discount on 1 to 5 bedroom units.

Minus the discount, a 1-bedroom unit price starts at $1.133m or $1,784 psf. Seven units were sold in May at an average price of $1,707 psf.

The laser show is intended to create interest on the condo, which has been recording low sales since its launch in mid-2014 with only 123 of its 469 units or 26% sold.

The Crest is located in the Jervois and Bishopsgate Good Class Bungalow (GCB) area near Orchard Road shopping belt and Redhill MRT. It has a 99-year leasehold and a TOP of 2018.
