About September Recorded Lesser New Private Homes in 2021 | According to URA’s statistics, September recorded a decrease in the sale of new private homes in 2021. To mention, 834 new private homes were sold in that month, except executive condos until there was a 31.4% month-on-month decrease witnessed. 

Therefore, excluding (ECs), developers in Singapore sold 834 units in September compared to August where 1,216 units were sold according to (URA) Urban Redevelopment Authority data.  Annually, sales dropped 37.2% from 1,329 units sold the same month 2020. Also, 210 units were launched in September, 74.9% from August and 84.3% lower than the other months.

Additionally, also the Executive Condominium (EC) new homes sales reduced 6.4% year-on-year in September and 2% month-on-month. The Head of Research for Southeast Asia, Tricia Song, at CBRE said that a lot of developer sales plus the ECs were supported by the establishment of Parc Greenwich which sold 335 or 68% of its 496 units at an average price of $1,229 per sqft. Thus, this reflects HDB upgraders’ robust appetite for appealingly priced EC units.

Therefore, Parc Greenwich became the best-selling project for September followed by Normanton Park, Dairy Farm Residences, Parc Clematis and Ola EC. On top of that, other projects in the top ten lists include Leedon Green, Treasure At Tampines, Fourth Avenue Residences, Affinity At Serangoon and Avenue South Residence.

On the other hand, the (OCR) Outside Central Region registered 42.7% of total sales in September, whilst (RCR) the Rest of Central Region constituted up to thirty-seven point two percent. The (CCR) also registered 21.1%. Huttons Asia mentioned that the higher proportion of sales in the CCR to the slight drift in the calculation of school distance in 2022. So, the Leedon Green and Fourth Avenue Residences were the 2 best-selling projects in CCR in September. 

Moreover, Song anticipates the speed in the housing market to be relatively positive.
