PROPERTY NEWS | Relaunched Amber Skye condo prices go as high as $2500 psf
According to developers behind the Amber Skye project, they are still home buyers in Singapore, who have been enquiring and showing an interest in large apartments. This is contradictory to the fact that the lackluster market has actually pushed a majority of the developers into creating smaller no frills projects.
The Amber Skye was relaunched last Saturday after its initial launch in September last year. It is located on a freehold at Amber Road in the District 15 and will feature 109 large units, when complete. The project is being developed by OKP Land and China Sonangal Land.
As such, the Amber Skye’s units are comparatively larger when compared to other units that are similar. In that respect, the two- and three-bedroom units at the Amber Skye go up to 1,281 sq ft and 1,528 sq ft. The project is also set boast of a six penthouses that will range between 3300 to 4100 sq ft, besides two other ‘grand villas’ of 5177 sq ft and spanning across two floors.
Prices are set to range between $1680 to $2500 psf, as indicative.
A developer spokesperson mentioned how there was a small and yet, significant number of people in Singapore who were looking to purchase larger units, and there was also feedback from marketers, regarding buyers enquiring about larger units, since the launch of the project last year.
Coupled with market statistics of late, Amber Skye is looking to fill that present gap in the market. This bears relevance consider that earlier in the month, there have been media reports which suggest that the median unit size has risen from 1,065 sq ft (first half of 2013) to 1,119 sq ft (last six months of 2014), for private home buyers in Singapore.
With expected TOP in 2017, Amber Skye is located in the Tanjong Katong region, and its residents will have easy access to a number of popular landmarks, including the Orchard Road and city center.
