Kandis Residence showflat located in Sembawang was previewed over August 26 and 27 weekend.
The project, which is a 130-unit private condominium that is coming up in Jalan Kandis off the Sembawang Road, is by Tuan Sing Holdings. It is a few minutes walk from the Canberra Sembawang Park Connector, Kandis Garden, and Sembawang Park.
About the development
Kandis Residence is the first private condo in Sembawang, which is a landed housing estate with projects including Straits Gardens and Sembawang Straits Estate by Bukit Sembawang Estates. The condo may appeal to HDB upgraders in Yishun and Sembawang area as well as people whose parents live in Sembawang and were raised here.
“The condo will appeal to buyers who want a quiet location away from the city”, said Nicholas Mak ZACD Group executive director.
He added that since Kandis Residence is a small development, the developer is likely to sell the units within the deadline of ABSD.
Tuan Sing won the bid of the 75,832 sq ft, 99-year leasehold site in a government land tender in April 2016 with $51.1 million or $481 psf ppr.
As the first condo in the area, Kandis Residence will set the pace in terms of pricing and product for other future developments in Sembawang.
It has smart home features that include digital door locks and remotely controlled air conditioning using Habitap powered app that can be used with phablet and smartphone devices.
The condo will have various types of units comprising of one-bedroom, 2 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms plus study, 3 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms plus study. Units on the ground floor and on the highest floors have a ceiling of 4.2m high in the bedrooms, dining and living rooms. Other units will have a ceiling of 2.9m high. The development is set to obtain its TOP in second quarter 2021. For the first year after its completion, residents will get shuttle service to Sembawang MRT station.

A new 21.5 km expressway, the North – South Corridor, is being built and set for completion in 2026. It will link Sembawang to CBD and reduce the time of travel.
