For the sixth year running, CapitaLand has scooped the most sustainable diversified developer in real estate Asia title by GRESB – Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark.
Also recognized by GRESB is CapitaLand Mall Trust as the most sustainable shopping mall owner Asia. The Trust is Singapore’s largest and first investment trust in real estate.
GRESB is an organization that is industry -driven which assesses environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of real estate and property portfolios, globally.
CapitaLand was also listed in the fifth year running in Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. It is one of the two Singapore companies that are in the global listing.
The developer also retained the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index listing in the eighth year. CapitaLand was the first company in Singapore to appear in the regional index since 2009 when the index was launched. It continues to be the Singapore’s longest standing company in the index.

CapitaLand’s recognition by GRESB and its Dow Jones Sustainability indices inclusion adds to its 2016 many sustainability achievements.
In January, CapitaLand was listed by Corporate Knights in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the world. It also received a Bronze Class award in The Sustainability Yearbook 2016 in RobecoSAM.
The Group was added in FTSE4Good ASEAN 5 Index by FTSE Russell in April while in May it was included in SGX Sustainability Indices.
In August, CapitaLand retained MSCI Global Sustainability Index listing for the third consecutive year. It also appeared in the MSCI Global Socially Responsible Investment Index series for the first time.
